The Elder Scrolls Online Free Play Weekend starts today

If you’re already done traipsing the wintery wonders of Skyrim, an extended Free Play Weekend for The Elder Scrolls Online will go live for Playstation 4 and PC/Mac Players today.

This will run until November 20th and presents a neat opportunity for players to discover the huge updates the game has undergone since launch. This includes the recent One Tamriel update which opens up all areas to everyone, no matter their skill or experience.

What’s more, Playstation 4 owners won’t even need PS Plus to take part. How cool is that? PS owners should be able to download the game right now, create an account, and start playing immediately. Steam and Mac users will need to wait a little longer as it goes live for them at 6pm tonight.

Bethesda have also said that a Free Play Weekend will be announced for Xbox One users very soon.

The Free Play Weekend will feature the following…

·         No Restrictions: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game

·         Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more

·         Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over if the player purchases the game

·         Win a “Trip of a Lifetime”: Free Play Weekend players will also qualify to enter the Trip of a Lifetime Giveaway, which offers the chance to win one of five incredible trips to exotic locations around the world, with full accommodations, meals, and exciting adventure excursions with expert local guides. To enter, all that’s required is to play the game and register. For more information and to register, players can visit the official Giveaway site.

There will also be plenty of discounts through the Crown Store until November 24th, including the in-game DLC Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood.
