Ghost Recon Phantoms gets new(ish) map

Ubisoft are delighted that free-to-play multiplayer shoot-em-up Ghost Recon Phantoms is a hit; so delighted, in fact, they have decided to unleash an new(ish) map on its 200,00 daily active users. That’s right, from today Ghost Recon-ers can get their grubby mitts on The Subpen, redesigned from the original Balaklava Sub-Pen level. Lets hope the changes to the map aren’t reflected in the name.

You can take a look at the redesigned map right here:

That’s not all, though, you can also spend some hard earned pennies on smoke grenades in the Ghost Recon Phantoms store to bring that all important big gig feel to the murder and mayhem. Ghost Recon Phantoms producer Corey Facteua had this to say:

We are thrilled with the number of active players which just passed the one million mark. We are seeing a lot of new players from countries where the game was already available during open beta, like the UK and Germany, as well as from newly opened territories including Brazil and Australia. There has also been a rise in popularity of the game in Asia, in particular South Korea and Singapore, which is especially important to our team as Singapore is where the game was created. We are going to continue improving Ghost Recon Phantoms by releasing regular new content in game, and we are looking forward to seeing what suggestions these new territories have and how it will help us shape the future of the game.

Are you one of the people making Ghost Recon Phantoms the third most played free-to-play title on Steam? Is it any good?
