Grid Autosport goes a bit TOCA

Codemasters latest and greatest race-em-up, GRID Autosport is coming soon and a rather spiffing video has today emerged, showing off the shiny Touring Car discipline. Not only that, but they have rolled out some real, honest to goodness Touring Car drivers to give you some pointers on what it take to succeed in the real world of racing.

Codemasters had this to say:

Touring Cars represented in the game include both modern and classic cars. Contemporary examples include the Honda Civic Touring Car, Ford Focus ST Touring Car, the Holden VF Commodore and its rival the Ford Falcon FG plus many more. Classic content includes the Nissan 1991 (R32) Skyline GT-R Group A and the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Group A, two cars which fought out dramatic battles on track, plus the MINI Miglia and more. Touring races are held on the game’s real-world circuits, including the world famous Brands Hatch and Bathurst tracks, and offer players truly dramatic, immediate and intense racing.

So if you often find yourself dreaming wistfully of late 90’s hit TOCA Touring Car Championship, why not take a look at this video have your mind figuratively blown:

With four other disciplines to enjoy (Endurance, Open-Wheel, Tuner, and Street), over 100 routes across 22 locations  and some shiny contemporary and classic  high-performance racing cars to collect, tune and upgrade, it looks like GRID Autosport will be a must buy for all you petrolheads out there. You will be able to pick up GRID Autosport on Windows, XBox 360 and PS3 on June 27th (or June 24th for those of you lucky enough to be stateside)…
