Halo 5 Monitor’s Bounty launches today

The insane amount of post-launch support for Guardians continues with a huge new update for Halo 5 dropping today. This one adds massive updates to Forge, tweaks to Warzone and tons more.

There’s also going to be two new weapons – Grenade Launcher and Sentinel Beam, a custom games browser, an Observer Mode, new voice REQ packs, and brand new armour.

The server browser for PC users is a huge feature and allows them to get more actively involved with custom games.  A much requested feature since the connectivity between platforms.

Gamespot confirmed over 650 new objects are being added to Forge, which brings the total of unique objects upwards of 3,800. The scripting tools are also being made more flexible to create a variety of gametypes.

This is partly achieved through Action Target which is a new scripting system that allows you to tweak 64 objects at the same time. And players are already taking advantage with the likes of Battle Golf and Star Wars Podracing!?

A Community Coordinator from 343 has also confirmed that controller input registration has been made more efficient, resulting in less latency.

You can also send Gold Gift Packs to friends as shown in this new video.

Is Halo 5 a hard-disk eating monster? At around 90GB, God yes. But is this a seriously impressive spate of free support for a game that’s over a year old? Goodness gracious me, yes.

And the best part is you can pick it up ridiculously cheap on CD Keys.

So, yeah, if you have an Xbox One and somehow don’t own Halo 5, then you should probably get on that!
