Unconfirmed Dates / Releases

Lightning Strikes – Battlefield V

The second phase of the post-launch content for Battlefield V begins in January, adding squad conquest, grand operations and the return of Rush. No date or time confirmed just yet but we know for sure this is happening and it will run until March.

Appreciation Fest – Monster Hunter World

A massive one year anniversary event is coming to Monster Hunter World this month, offering tons of new rewards and items to collect. We presume it’ll be on the week of the game’s launch – 26 January – though with Resident Evil 2 out that same week, it might get pretty hectic at Capcom towers. Add to that the Witcher crossover which has been confirmed and could also drop at the same time. Who knows!

Piranha Plant – Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Not in the least bit confirmed, however the expiry date for redeeming your Piranha Plant code for Smash is January 31. This can mean one of two things. That’s just the date Nintendo have set and the DLC will follow soon after. Or the content is dropping on the same day and will close out the month. Either way, stay tuned for more information and make sure you redeem the code in time.

Erzsebet – Omen of Sorrow

The first Season of Characters have been announced for Omen of Sorrow with all characters available for free. First up, Erzebet Bathory is coming in January with others to follow. More news on this soon.

DLC Pack 4 – Shadow of the Tomb Raider

A new Challenge Tomb is coming to Shadow of the Tomb Raider in January following the promise of monthly DLC through April 2019. This follows DLC packs, The Forge and The Pillar and will likely launch mid-January following previous patterns.

Luma – Mario Tennis Aces

Confirmed for release in January, this will be the first of three new characters joining the Mario Tennis Aces roster through to March. Luma will eventually be joined by Pauline and Boom.

Haunted House DLC – S2ENGINE HD

Previously set to release in 2018, the Haunted House DLC for S2ENGINE HD will release during the mid January 2018 with another DLC releasing the first week of January.

January DLC Drop – Rocksmith Remastered

Ubisoft’s Newsletter hints at more DLC for Rocksmith Remastered in early January. Speculation is we’ll see a range of tracks, though none confirmed as yet. Everyone from Chuck Berry to Rihanna is expected. We’ll find out sooner rather than later.
