Nintendo Switch Sports continues the Wii Sports legacy this April, Golf coming as free DLC update in the Fall

In another announcement we didn’t see coming, Nintendo is bringing back motion sports this April.

Nintendo Switch Sports brings back some fan favourites from Wii Sports like Bowling, Volleyball, and Tennis, while also introducing Chambara and Badminton.

Coming April 29, Nintendo Switch Sports is a continuation of the pack-in legacy, but bundled together with a new leg strap accessory that will be used to play Soccer.

You use Joy-Cons to play instead of Wii Remotes, of course, and there’s also local and online play with in-game rewards with items rotating each week and pro leagues.

Not to mention that Golf will be added as a free update later this year.

And you’ll be able to play it quite soon as Nintendo are doing a Play Test on February 18, 19, and 20, with registration opening on the 15th. You need to have a Nintendo Switch Online Membership to register, though.

Nintendo Switch Sports releases April 29.
