Playstation GamesCom Conference August 20th 6pm

Sony have confirmed that the Playstation Gamescom Games Conference will take place on August 20th at 6pm.

The event will take place in Cologne and is expected to look at Playstation 3, Playstation Vita and, of course, Playstation 4 titles

Sony had an incredible show at E3 and managed to turn the gaming community to their side during an immense reveal.

But where do they go from here?

Last year’s Gamescom conference introduced the world to Killzone: Mercenary on Vita, as well as provided the first glimpse of Black Ops: Declassified on the handheld. Other titles were also revealed, such as Puppeteer, Rain and Tearaway.

We are expecting some major Playstation 4 reveals at the show as execs promised as much coming out of E3. The quote?

‘We need to have something to show at Gamescom, don’t we?’

We’re expecting potentially more announcements about the launch lineup. The big news, however, is we hope to learn a release date for the console. Widely speculated to be November, we still have no firm date for Playstation 4. We expect that all to change in just a few weeks.

Also exciting is that Sony execs have revealed that the showcase will be a Playstation Vita kind of show. So, expect some major handheld bomb drops in just a few weeks. It has also been speculated that Vita will receive some form of price-drop.

We can now exclusively reveal that Expansive will be at the Conference, reporting live on the events as they happen. We also hope to be in contact with leading professionals behind Sony’s latest hardware and can ask them your questions.

Stay tuned to Expansive DLC over the next few weeks as we prepare for one of the biggest gaming shows of the year. We have some exciting coverage to come and you will not want to miss any of it!
