Sci-fi horror SOMA is coming to PC and PS4 in 2015, new trailer reveal

Frictional Games, creator and developer of best-selling horror games Amnesia and Penumbra have been teasing a new horror game for weeks, and today the team have finally announced that sci-fi horror game SOMA will be coming to PC and PS4 in 2015. A long way off for some, but what can we expect to look forward to?

Creative Director Thomas Grip says of SOMA:

The last three years we have been working on a game called SOMA. All of that time, this project has remained a secret and it is a great relief to finally be able to talk about it. The game is by far the most ambitious and thrilling project we have ever undertaken… Our goal is for SOMA to not just be another carnival ride of cheap scares. It is meant to chill you at the core and confront you with questions about your very existence.

SOMA is a sci-fi horror game played from a first-person perspective. A game about exploration, survival and with the aim of immersing the player inside an interactive narrative, you play as a normal but very exposed person, trapped in a nightmarish world. Described as a ‘proper sci-fi’ game, players can be expected to explore the subject of consciousness, whilst surviving a journey filled with strange monsters.
