The Wonderful 101 Remastered passes £1 million in funding, seeking money for 2D Side-Scroller

Platinum Games Kickstarter is a roaring success, comfortably funding their 50k goal for a Switch Version of The Wonderful 101.

As of writing, the Kickstarter has received over £1 million in funding and it still has 29 days to go.

With the PS4 and Steam versions also secured, it’s time to see what other stretch goals Platinum have in mind.

Already funded is a new Time Attack mode, designed to appease speedrunners but there are also two more stretch goals we now know about.

One is a 2D side-scroller called ‘Luka’s First Mission’ – You may remember that Luka Alan Smithee is a recurring character in the game, a young Blossom City Elementary student who wears Wonder-Goggles with piercing lasers.

It seems Platinum have something more in mind for Luka and that he’ll be getting his own 2D adventure if they reach £1.5 million in funding.

Further still, they’re looking to add Remix Soundtrack which also features a secret special guest. Wonder who that could be? That stretch goal stands at $1.75 million.

Something tells us this isn’t the last stretch goal either and the Kickstarter is certainly showing no signs of slowing down. We wonder if there will be any clues as to what DLC Platinum have in mind.
