Age of Empires II HD is due to receive some huge updates over the next few months with content updates and patches. The first campaign has gone live today and is focused on the legendary Lost City of Gold, El Dorado. The game has been upgraded to v 3.3 and now includes several campaign and localisation fixes.
In the new El Dorado content, the game lets you join Francisco Orellana and Gonzalo Pizarro on a quest to find El Dorado. The content features four new campaign missions, a historical story and a new intro slide system.
Future updates will also add new random map scripts – including focusing around the Capture the Relic mode – improved AI and pathfinding, additional content and more.
Age of Empires II HD is a reimagining of the classic PC game and is published by Microsoft Studios. The team is committed to delivering a game that is constantly developing and expanding, something the original release couldn’t manage years ago.
