It’s been seven years since Arkham Knight but we’re finally returning to Gotham City later this month.

Gotham Knights begins a new era with WB Games Montreal at the helm, freeing up Rocksteady to work on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

With the game approaching launch, we’ve put together the key facts you need to know about the game, along with the content you can expect.

Release Date

Gotham Knights releases on October 21 2022.

Is this a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight?

This is not an official sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight and is not set in the Arkhamverse. This is an original story set in DC’s Batman Universe, inspired by the Batman: Gotham Knights comic series.

Is Batman really dead in Gotham Knights?

He’s really, really dead. Apparently.

Then who do you play as?

In Gotham Knights you can play as Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood.

Is there co-op?

Yes! You can play online co-op together in Gotham Knights. Sadly, there’s no local co-op.

And who are they fighting against?

The Court of Owls has descended on Gotham, unleashing chaos following the immediate death of Batman. A few other familiar faces will join in the fray as well.

Will there be DLC?

Nothing has been announced post-launch, but pre-launch and via the pre-order campaign there’s quite a bit. Pre-orders will bag you a 233 Kustom Batcycle skin. As you can see below.

There’s also some very cool comic-inspired costumes available for those who buy the Deluxe Edition up. The KnightWatch set has been designed by DC artist, Jim Lee.

Deluxe Edition owners can also get a Visionary Pack which also includes ‘Beyond’ costumes from the Beyond Batman series, as well as some boosted gear, an exclusive emote, 3 exclusive suit colourways, and salvage to build new gear.

Editions

Standard

The Standard Edition is pretty much as you’d expect. The base game along with the pre-order content mentioned above, the 233 Kustom Batcycle Skin.

Deluxe

The Deluxe edition adds all the above, as well as the full Visionary Pack which includes the KnightWatch set, the Beyond costumes, boosted gear, an exclusive emote, 3 exclusive suit colourways and salvage to build new gear.

Collectors

Finally, the Collector’s includes all of the above as well as a Gotham Knights Guard Statue, Promethium New Guard Transmogs, an Augmented Reality Talon Key and Gotham City: City of Bridges collectible map with a Jim Lee Certificate of Authority.
