Alone in the Dark is getting a reboot next month and there’s a real mix of modern horror and classic vintage in there.
Featuring mo-cap of actors, Jodie Comer and David Harbor in the lead roles, Alone in the Dark is set in the 1920s South where you play as either Edward Carnby, a private investigator or Emily Hartwood who’s looking into the sudden disappearance of her uncle.
With an all-star cast and epic writing credits, the game also includes some DLC that celebrates the series past. This includes the Derceto 1992 Costume Pack, a Director’s Commentary Mode and a Vintage Horror Filter Pack.
The Horror filter, as you might suspect, lets you play the game in Black and White and in various other forms to build out a unique atmosphere. You can also play the game with Director’s Commentary and even get a costume pack that lets you play the game just as if it were back to 1992.
Alone in the Dark looks very intriguing indeed and launches on March 20 across all major formats.
