Assassin’s Creed 4: Freedom Cry now released

The first major story DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag releases this week across all platforms. Freedom Cry, which focuses on Adewale, Kenway’s Quartermaster, is a nine mission expansion and has about five hours worth of content.

Retailing at £7.99, the content releases on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC today and will launch on Playstation platforms tomorrow, December 18th. No word on if the content will release on Wii U.

Freedom Cry puts the players in charge of Adewale as he faces his past and frees slaves.

Once a pirate, now a trained Assassin and illustrious member of the brotherhood, Freedom Cry tells the story of Adewale 15 years after the end of Black Flag. Taking place in 18th century Haiti, Adewale will take his new crew and new set of weapons, including a machete and a blunderbuss, to assassinate enemies and free slaves, delivering merciless justice in plantations. When the fight goes to the seas, Adewale will command the Experto Crede, a fearsome brig that can take down the slavers in the Caribbean.

The Black Flag Season Pass is available now for £15.99, and in addition to Freedom Cry, purchasers will receive an exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles, as well as the Blackbeard’s Wrath add-on.
