Previously rumoured, now confirmed by Ubisoft, Claws of Awaji is a standalone DLC adventure coming to Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

This one breaks the trend from previous Ubisoft DLC however, in that it will be free as an additional extra to those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Previously Ubisoft have opted for Season Passes, even as recently as Star Wars Outlaws back in August last year, but due to a change in company strategy, this content will be provided to everyone who pre-orders the game before it launches on March 20.

However, if you don’t pre-order the game ahead of launch, you’ll need to purchase Claws of Awaji seperately when it launches later in 2025.

At launch, however, you’ll also get the previously rumoured ‘Thrown to the Dogs’ bonus mission simply by pre-ordering the game.
