Battlefield 2042 is going to be very well supported post-launch with a wealth of content
A Year 1 Pass will also accompany the game, including seasonal content, as well as 4 new specialists (1 per Season of the Year 1 Pass), and 4 Battle Passes. Each Season is expected to last three months.
Interestingly, no new maps are locked behind the Battle Pass option, however you will get new cosmetic options to unlock as you progress if you own the Year 1 Pass, such as new costumes and weapon reskins.
Essentially, though, the good news is that any game content for Battlefield 2042 will be playable for everyone who owns the game without having to own an additional pack of content.
Battlefield 2042 launches on November 19, 2021, with early access available to people from November 12 if they pre-order the game. You can also check it out early if you have EA Play or Xbox Game Pass and receive a 10 hour trial.
