Earthlock: Festival of Magic Extended Edition will re-launch on March 8 and make massive changes to the original game.
When work began on Earthlock 2, the development team came to the realisation they were not happy with the original in its current state based on the criticism it has received. The development team agreed having made cuts to get it out to market and so have spent the last year changing everything.
This includes a virtually changed story that adds more depth, humour and character, as well as side quests and mini games. There are new scenes and characters, cut scenes, as well as crafting on Plumpet Island. It’s basically a completely different game.
English, Japanese and Norwegian translations will be ready for launch, with French, German, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Chinese and Polish to follow. Russian and Brazillian Portugese are also being added to the game. It is also not possible to make it save game compatible with the original version.
The good news is if you already own Earthlock: Festival of Magic or purchase it before March 8th – it’s currently £7.49 on Steam – you’ll get the upgraded version completely free. When it re-launches on March 8th, however, the price will go up to £29.99.
I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re the least bit interested, now’s the time to grab it!
