The first major free update for Frostpunk 2 has gone live this week, adding tons of new content to dive into.
Some of the big changes include an overhauled heat system which sees temperature management take place at a district level, which includes new laws, research, and consequences.
A huge new map has also been added to the game – The Pit – for Utopia Builder mode, as well as Tales from the Frostland which is a series of narrative challenges with unique quests and storylines. As well as rewards.
Serenity Mode also offers a more easy-going survival experience – such as no faction conflict and plentiful resources, and then there’s Frostkit 1.0, which sees the mod tools leave beta and include in-editor testing and new systems.
This is the first of many more post-launch updates to come, as well as the long awaited console release of Frostpunk 2.
The free update is now available on PC.
