July is normally considered a quieter month for games but clearly not in 2025!
This week we’re starting off hot and wild with the return of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4. Or at least, the advanced access of it.
Advanced Access begins from July 8th with release for everyone beginning July 11th and the game will be releasing everywhere, including Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Game Pass! Though Game Pass owners will need to wait until next week to get their kickflips in.
Following on from Activision’s successful reboot of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2, this is a similarly remade bundled version of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and 4, which originally hit on the PS1 and Ps2 era.
Developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, all the original parks have been remade as well as some new ones – including Waterpark, Pinball and Movie Studio.
The roster is also pretty deep too, with newcomers like Rayssa Leal and Yuto Horigome as well as Tony Hawk. And yes, Bam is in there too.
The game contains a full career mode and even cross-platform multiplayer, which is a wonderful addition. You’ll also have creation tools and a New Game + mode on top of that, along with a new HAWK Mode, which is described as skateboarding hide and seek.
When hiding, you must skate to the chosen map and spell out HAWK with letters, while in seeking you have to collect your opponent’s letters before the time runs out. Sounds interesting!
As you’d expect, there’s a bunch of quality of life features added in here and with the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can even skate as the DOOM Slayer, in one of the more interesting, unexpected crossovers. You’ll also get distinct DOOM skateboards and even a Revenant Slayer as a Skater.
It’s looking fantastic and the perfect summer game to really get you in the mood for…welll…sun.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4 is available in advanced access from July 8 and available to everyone else from July 11th.
The game launches on PC, PS, Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch systems.
