Game Director, Cory Barlog, has confirmed through Twitter that God of War will not receive a Season Pass.
That’s not to say the game won’t receive any DLC, but much like Horizon Zero Dawn, that will likely come seperately and at a later date. If at all.
Here’s the transcript.
No season pass. As for the story questions – you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I’m totally biased, though.

It appears, at least for now, that we’re getting the full package out of the box. The game is said to last between 20 – 30 hours and according to Barlog, it’s going to be awesome!
If you pre-order the Stone Mason’s Edition however, there is some extra in-game content in the form of the following. God of War still has no official release date, though rumours have pointed towards April 20.
God of War Stone Mason DLC
- Death’s vow armour set
- Exile’s guardian shield
- God of War digital comic
- Dynamic PS4 theme
God of War Stone Mason pre-order bonus
- XP boost In-game
- DLC shields (three in total)
