Ahead of its global launch today, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been confirmed to receive further updates before the end of the year.

Alongside a Day One Patch and further updates to tweak and balance the experience, Insomniac have confirmed that a New Game + mode will release before the end of the year.

The news comes from Community and Marketing Director, James Stevenson, who has also revealed a Mission Replay system is in development and will release in the same timeframe.

The mission replay system would enable you to dive into your favourite parts of the game at any point, whereas New Game + enables you to hop back into the game after another playthrough, likely with your upgraded abilities and items. Sounds awesome!
