Mortal Kombat One is closer than ever and it got arguably its biggest bit of news yet this weekend.
We knew DLC characters were coming to the game and in recent years, this franchise has enjoyed many comic book and movie crossovers, like Robocop, Terminator, Freddy and more.
In Mortal Kombat One, the first batch of DLC characters will include Omni-Man from Invincible, with JK Simmons reprising his role as the iconic anti-hero.
Additionally, John Cena’s Peacemaker will be added into the mix, fresh out of The Suicide Squad and his own hit TV show. Speaking of TV shows, the celebrity crossover lineup is headlined by Homelander of The Boys fame.
It’s a fantastic group of established characters, each very belonging and logical fits for the bloody IP.
As for the rest of the official Kombat Pack, it’s peppered with familiar and fan-favourite Mortal Kombat fighters, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda.
Mortal Kombat 1 isn’t too far away now with a release on September 19 across all major formats.
