Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt update drops April 4

A huge new update for Path of Exile 2 releases on April 4.

The first major update since launch in Early Access, Dawn of the Hunt adds an all new Huntress class, arming players with a Spear and Buckler.

There’s also five new ascension classes – Ritualist, Amazon, Smith of Kitava, Tactician and Lich. You will also have new endgame encounters which are accompanied by mechanical overhauls.

On top of that, one hundred new unique items as well as expanded crafting options have been added to the game.

With the Huntress class having 20 new Spear Skills, there are two other abilities being added to the game – Raise Spectre that lets you trap and summon souls of almost any monster in game and Summon Rhoa Mount that lets you summon a Rhao to fight at your side or mount it.

100 Support Gems have also been added to the game to give you even more flexibility for your builds and they let you modify existing skills with unique effects.

There’s also a lot more mid and endgame unique items added so you have a lot more variety to choose from and bounty to chase.

As if all of that wasn’t enough, we have 20 new runes being added to allow you to craft mods onto gear and 8 new maps, with unique encounters and rewards, like The Fractured Lake and The Phaaryl Megaliths.

Finally, you’ll find four new Strongboxes to discover, each with new mechanics and valuable rewards, such as Ogham’s Legacy that revives a powerful rare and each defeat triggers a resurrection with added more powerful modifiers. And Ixchel’s Torment which releases powerful Chaos Guardians to protect a valuable artifact.

The update sounds massive and will be a real boost for Path of Exile 2 players when Dawn of the Hunt drops on April 4 for PC in Early Access.
