Pokemon Bank and Poke Transfer Apps Announced For Pokemon X and Y

In Today’s Nintendo Direct Broadcast,  Nintendo announced a standalone Pokemon storage app entitled Pokemon Bank.

This app will not be free but will let you store up to 3000 Pokemon in 100 boxes in the cloud storeage powered app. The Pokemon bank app will be releasing in Japan on the 25th December and will cost an annual payment of 500 yen. Wordlwide pricing and release dates have yet to be announced.

But what about all the Pokemon you have caught in previous games? Poke transfer app has got you covered.

The free Poke transfer app allows you to transfer Pokemon from Black and White, and Black and White 2 to the app, which can then be transferred to Pokemon Bank and through that Pokemon X and Y.

There will be an annual payment for the Pokemon Bank app, but there will also be a trial version – so it will be possible to transfer your Pokemon to it using the initial trial, effectively for free.

Pokemon X and Y is released worldwide on October 12th.
