Resident Evil 4 has come in red hot at the end of March and the train definitely isn’t stopping anytime soon.
Capcom have just launched the Mercenaries DLC as a free expansion for the game. This’ll be a familiar mode for fans of the series with a focus on team work and scoring, but there’s also new playable characters, including Luis and Leon himself.
Interestingly, Capcom have also added a bunch of purchasable microtransactions to the store which can be spent to claim upgrade tickets in game to pick up new weapons.
You can, of course, complete and gather all weapons in game without spending a penny but these optional extras have been added in if you’d rather pay to progress.
An individual ticket costs $2.99, whereas you can also buy a three-pack for $6.99 and a five pack for $9.99.
But the highlight here is The Mercenaries. Best of all, you don’t even need to beat the main game to play it as there’s an option on the menu to hop right in.
