Two Tribes final game – RIVE – has been attracting wide mainstream appeal and making waves with streamers and gamers.
But there’s been a real split in the audience. Some claim the game is too easy, others say it’s too hard. To offset that, Two Tribes have added in a Normal Difficulty to the Main Campaign. This adds stronger bullets, less damage from enemies, and better health packs.
Two Tribes have also added some additional features to increase the longevity of the game, impressive for a two man skeleton crew.
Challenges have been added, giving players something new everyday. Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals can be earned performing special activities.
There are also Battle Arenas which provide endless fighting opportunities against familiar backdrops.
Here’s the full changelog.
- CHG: Lots of difficulty tweaks in earlier missions, including increased field of view in some difficult areas
- CHG: Mission 1 extended
- ADD: Replaced the in-game Soft Mode with a Normal difficulty level, which is directly selectable from the main menu. (The teddy bear icon has left the building. Instead, you now get a star when you play on Hard. Because you’re a star to us, geddit?)
- ADD: Daily Challenges (descriptions only in English for now), including new Shield pick-up, low-gravity condition and auto-rotating fire
- ADD: 3 endless Battle Arenas
- FIX: Secret pick-ups can be picked up again (sorry about that)
- DEL: Norris achievement (we replaced it with three Challenges achievements)
- CHG: Lots of small fixes
