Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gets next-gen patch to improve performance

A surprise patch for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has dropped which updates the game to take advantage of the power of PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The main adjustments are improved framerate at a stable 60FPS (which is up from 45 FPS) – The game also has improved dynamic resolution ranges and improved post-processing.

On PlayStation 5, the post-processing is now 1440p with the game rendering at 1200p. Series X, meanwhile, now offers postprocessing up to 4K and a dynamic resolution ranging between 1512p and 2160p.

The free update is available now and follows a big day for Star Wars which sees Lucasfilm Games announce a collaboration with Ubisoft Massive to make a new open world game.

Speculation has also risen that Jedi: Fallen Order 2 could be announced in due course.

Lucasfilm Games also made headlines yesterday, announcing a collaboration with Bethesda and Machine Gun Games to make a new Indiana Jones game.
