Following the fantastic remake of the original System Shock, NightDive Studios are bringing its sequel back next week.
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of System Shock 2, a full remaster will be released on June 26 and it’s implementing multiplayer!
Wildly, the remaster will have full Cross-Play Co-op multiplayer, as well as mod support. NightDive have done an incredible job bringing back games we loved but were seemingly lost to time, such as The Thing, Star Wars Dark Forces, Turok, Blade Runner and the OG System Shock. It looks like they’re about to work their magic again!
This remaster of the sequel will add up to 144 FPS performance with ultra-widescreen support, 50 achievements, optimised controller support, 3 branches of military for different playstyles, enhanced characters and models and quality of life fixes.
Knowing the standard of quality NightDive have been pushing out, we’re really excited for this one and especially with how good System Shock was! Though it is important to note this will be a remaster of the original game and not a top down remake that we got with System Shock.
The game releases on PC, PS and Xbox on June 26!
