2K have lifted the lid on their DLC plans for WWE 2K25 through the year and there’s some very welcome additions.
Following some teases on social media over the past few days, we now mostly know the full roster being added to the game save for a few extra surprises.
Beginning with the ‘New Wave Pack’ coming in May, you’ll be able to play as…
- Alex Shelley
- Chris Sabin
- Giulia
- Stephanie Vaquer
- Special celebrity guest to be announced
This is notable as the game will be getting red hot tag team the Motor City Machine Guns in just a few short months, but also the NXT Women’s World and North American Champions who are set to go head to head next week in a title for title match.
As for who that special celebrity guest could be – Travis Scott anyone? Best keep him away from Cody!
Next up is a ‘Dunk and Destruction Pack’ which launches a month later in June and is a very odd and unusual pack..
- Abyss
- Great Khali
- Three NBA stars to be announced;
This will be the first time we’ve had a full cross over with the NBA 2K series and WWE. While people wondered if we’d get more TNA stars due to the crossover, it seems, for now at least, it’s all about NBA. Any guesses who? You have to figure LeBron is right at the top of that list.
As for the other two – Abyss IS a TNA legend, so we’ll take that I guess. And The Great Khali, is….a former World Champion.
July is a really cool pack as well, with some unexpected additions and some very welcome faces who’ve just joined the fray. In the Fearless Pack you’ll get…
- New Jack
- Jordynne Grace
- Penta
- Bull Nakano
- Special celebrity guest to be announced
Penta is absolutely the headliner here, the superstar luchadore who has been blazing a trail on RAW. But following right close behind him is the Juggernaut, Jordynne Grace, who made a huge splash at the Royal Rumble straight from TNA and is now a regular on NXT. Bull Nakano is another welcome addition here, and New Jack is….definitely a surprise. One can’t deny his impact in ECW but considering his troubled history outside the business, his presence definitely raises an eyebrow.
As for another celebrity guest? You gotta figure IShowSpeed pops up in one of these packs after that Royal Rumble moment.
Of course, it wouldn’t be WWE game without some Attitude Era and the Attitude Era Superstars Pack in September brings with it a really fun roster…
- D’Lo Brown
- Billy Gunn
- Road Dogg
- Victoria
- Mark Henry
New Age Outlaws, how could we not? D’Lo Brown was the workhorse of the era and Mark Henry had more than a few memorable moments. As for Victoria, what a superstar, what a legend. An absolutely fantastic addition to the roster! Love this pack!
Finally, the Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack in November is all about the legends. Headlined by a man who’s been more than a prominent feature on the shows lately.
- Jesse Ventura
- Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff
- Tito Santana
- Junkyard Dog
- Sid Justice
Definitely quite a legends mix there and guys you haven’t often had the chance to see in WWE games, so it’s really cool they’re being given the spotlight.
All in all, some interesting DLC, with the big talking points being Penta, Grace, Motor City Machine Guns, Giulia and Vaquer will be coming to the roster at different points during the year. That, and there’s a big NBA crossover coming. Apparently.
What do you think of this years’ DLC? And why does it feel like we’re going to be asking for more wrestlers in a few short weeks, between the recently returning Hardy’s, crossovers with TNA and the likes of Moose, the debuting Ricky Saints, Rey Fenix, and the seemingly imminent return of Aleister Black and Miro?
We’re never satisfied, are we?
