Cuphead first post-launch update details confirmed

The quirky, retro-animated shooter, Cuphead has been received plenty of deserved attention in recent weeks.

Cuphead is great and our review will follow soon, but today we were made aware of Studio MDHR’s plans for Cuphead post-launch.

The first update will include a fix for the Windows 10 Store Save Bug which stopped players using Alt-Tab to switch away from the game for a few minutes. This issue hasn’t been affecting Steam users, however.

There’s also some general fixes for Cuphead under the hood. For instance, the charge weapon was a tad overpowered and is being nerfed just slightly.

The studio has confirmed there’s plenty more updates to come for Cuphead, but more news on that as we get it.

  1. I don’t think there is such a thing as “overpowered” in Cuphead, especially when we are talking player’s side of things. If anything that’s what player needs in a game as difficult as Cuphead.

    • Yeah, it’s an interesting point. Because the game has such a brutal difficulty curve, you could argue you need all the help you can get. But I guess the development team still aren’t satisfied and want to make it that much harder for everyone 😀
