Torment Tides of Numenera adds Glaive Class

Techland Games are going a very different route from Dying Light and Dead Island with their next release, Torment Tides of Numenera.

Torment Tides of Numenera is a high-fantasy, turn-based roleplaying game releasing in 2017 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s also considered the thematic successor to the legendary Planescape Torment.

Techland released a new video yesterday showing off the Glaive character class, which provides players a tantalizing hybrid of might and speed. This also enables them to attack twice in one turn, the only class in the game able to do that.

Glaives also have a very high defensive rating, making them effective allies in direct combat due to their martial arts. You can immobilise enemies, and even taunt them to act like a tank class.

It all looks really rather good, and as you know, we do love a good RPG around these parts.

We saw the Nano sorceror class announced last week, and we’re expecting the final character video to drop sometime next week. Any guesses what it could be?

Torment: Tides of Numenera will launch Q1 2017 on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
