Assassin’s Creed 4 has finally had its Gameplay reveal. At the same time, Ubisoft have unveiled collectors editions of the game.
Assassin’s Creed 3 was loved and hated by fans of the series. With the addition of Sea combat and new mechanics however, it’s no wonder Ubisoft wanted to make a fourth game.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, will be the fourth instalment in the series and expectedly, it will be taking a different approach to what players are used to. The new gameplay trailer not only showcases the new landscape and protagonist, but it also showcases the release date of the game, November 1st.
One thing to note is that this trailer marks the first ever showcasing of the collectors edition of the game. The appropriately named “Black Chest edition” of the game will come with a host of new content for fans to get their hands on. Not only will there be in game content, but there will also be plenty of goodies such as a Kenway figure.
However, if you thought the Black Chest edition was the only edition of the game bar the standard edition, you were wrong. Three more additions of the game have also been announced. Full details for both the Black Chest and the remaining editions are as follows:

As you can see, there is no lack of choice when it comes to purchasing a variation of Black Flag. Whether this is a good thing, or a bad thing, is for you to decide.
Finally, Ubisoft have released details of a new VIP program called “The Watch” that is accessible to customers as a pre-order bonus. The Watch will offer players bonus content, rewards and the opportunity to take part in an exclusive quest. In addition to this, players who register for The Watch will become a member of a small group of fans that can participate in online discussions and compare skills and achievements.
