Ubisoft is so pleased with the success of Assassin’s Creed Origins that they are planning more DLC post Season Pass.
This is an interesting comment coming from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot after speaking with Jason Schreier of Kotaku. Jason wondered what the future of Assassin’s Creed held and whether it would go back to being an annual franchise. However, it seems the company isn’t yet done with the Egyptian adventures of Bayek.
The quote goes…
“We are concentrating on the moment on AC: Origins, for which we are going to launch a few other DLCs. You will be amazed by what will come on ACO, so that’s the only thing we can say now.”
We’ve already seen the Hidden Ones launch for the game, with the Discovery Tour arriving later this month. Then in March, the final piece of content – The Curse of the Pharaohs will drop. Beyond that, it’s a mystery. Clearly Ubisoft have other intentions in mind, though, and I’m sure we’ll find out more soon.
We also know that Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will appear March 20 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Beyond that, who knows what the future holds, but we do know Assassin’s Creed Origins is the best installment in the franchise since Black Flag and any more content for the game is definitely a good thing!
