We’ve reviewed both Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Nintendo Switch. Here are the choice quotes.
Both games can be purchased seperately or as part of a double pack so if you’re just interested in either game individually, here are the links.
Bayonetta 1
I can confidently say that this is the definitive version of Bayonetta. Yes, some of the glitches have still made it across – like mistimed platform movements and clipping problems – but they certainly don’t detract from the overall experience or break the game in any severe way. Bayonetta is a brilliantly bloody action adventure game with everything you could ever want or wish for from the genre. If you’ve somehow never played it – or even if you have – you will not find a better home for it than Switch. An absolute coup for a system still in its first year to house the definitive edition of one of the greatest games ever made.

Bayonetta 2
Up to now, Bayonetta 2 felt like one of those truly legendary games that only a handful of people ever got to experience, but it’s a game that not only craves more respect than that, it also deserves a bigger audience.
Colourful, vibrant, fast-paced, and electric, hands down, Bayonetta 2 is the best action shooter on Nintendo Switch. Hell, Bayonetta 2 is in the Top 5 games on the entire system.
