Clash Royale is going the route of Fortnite and so many others in its latest July Update.

Introducing ‘Pass Royale’, Supercell are adding seasons to the game with new content and themes. Season 1 will be based around the theme of ‘Flood’ and will offer Tower Skins, Emotes, and rewards for playing.

It will come at a cost, though, as you’ll have to pay $4.99 per month to earn the goodies. This will go live from July 1 and be available to players at any point during the season.

The July update will also add the new Fisherman character, a Legendary card that enables the muscular seafarer to use his hook to pull towers to the ground and slap them around with a, um, fish.

The massive July update is a gamechanger and also comes with some balance changes, such as nerfs and tweaks to existing cards.
