The day has finally arrived, the AWE DLC for Control is now available.

We’ve been playing it since last night and still forming our final opinion, but we’ll just say that Control and horror go very well together.

AWE sees the long-awaited return of Alan Wake and Bright Falls, crossing over with The Oldest House and Jesse Faden’s Control Universe.

This DLC introduces Remedy’s multiverse concept as Jesse ventures into the Investigations Sector to examine an Altered World Event, which sees paranatural forces infiltrate the real world.

The content also includes some new twists and mechanics which we’ll discuss in more detail in our review.

The DLC is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with the Ultimate Edition of Control out now on PC.

Console versions of the Control Ultimate Edition, which include a free upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, arrive on September 10th.
