Darksiders III isn’t due to release for another month but we now know what the post launch DLC looks like.
There are two planned expansions coming for Darksiders III called The Crucible and Keepers of the Void.
The DLCs will adds more enemies and puzzles to the already massive and expansive Furyverse, as well as new items, such as The Abyssal Armor and all-new weapons.
There’s no release date announced for either DLC, though we suspect at least one of the two will launch in 2019 as Darksiders III doesn’t appear until November 27th.
Details are scarce but here are the official descriptions from the recent press release
The Crucible
Fury’s presence has been requested by a strange entity wishing to test her skills in battle. Never one to back down from a challenge, Fury accepts the invitation and gains access to a location known only as the Crucible. Here Fury will fight wave after wave of enemies, competing for a chance to unlock new rewards and items.
Keepers of the Void
On a quest from Vulgrim, Fury must travel into the Serpent Holes to remove an ancient threat that resides there. The Serpent Holes are riddled with new puzzles and enemies eager to test Fury’s abilities. If Fury prevails, she will unlock all new weapon from the Hollows, as well as the biggest prize of them all: The Abyssal Armor.
The Crucible certainly sounds like it could be an arena-based DLC with horde mode style gameplay.
As for Keepers of the Void, it certainly sounds like it could be dungeon-focused, especially with the new armor and mention of puzzles.
More as we get it.
