Dead Island 2 is nearly here after years of anticipation and expectation.
It’s shaping up to be very special indeed and there’s an absolute ton of content to be gathered from the pre-order phase right through to post-launch.
If you pre-order the game on any format, you’ll pick up the Memories of Banoi pack, a fitting throwback to the first game where you’ll get a Banoi War Club, Memories of Banoi Baseball Card and a Personal Space Skill Card.
Signing up for the game’s newsletter will also reward you with an in-game knife.
Beyond that, there’s three main editions. Your Standard Edition, as well as Deluxe and Gold Editions.
In the Deluxe, you’ll get a cross-gen game, as well as bonus content Golden Weapons Pack and Character Pack 1 & 2.
The Golden Weapons pack includes Abuela’s Ashes Mace and Sam B’s One Hit Wonder Pistol. While Character Pack 1 focuses on Silver Star Jacob, giving him a Rodeo Sunset costume and The Devil’s Horseshoes weapon.
Character Pack 2 is Cyber Slayer Amy and she has a Neurunner skin as well as a twin-bladed weapon – The Casimir and Julienne.
The Gold Edition, meanwhile, has all of the above as well as the Pulp Weapon Pack which adds two signature weapons – The Homewrecker and the Eye Opener.
You’ll also get an Expansion Pass for post-launch DLC. Details on content are limited for now, but we know there will be two new chapters of main story coming after release and these will feature new missions, foes, weapons, abilities and areas.
Dead Island 2 has it all happening and the wait is nearly over for this zombie killer as it launches on April 21 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
