The next major Fallout game – Fallout 76 – has been shrouded in mystery but will finally be playable by the public from tomorrow on Xbox One.
A closed beta (or B.E.T.A) will be available for those who pre-order the game, first on Xbox One from October 23, and then available to PS4 and PC owners from October 30th.
The Beta will only be available at certain times, with the first test phase beginning at 12 midnight UK time on Wednesday 24th October. The Beta is available to preload right now, though you should be able to jump right in once the servers go live.
Fallout 76 isn’t a conventional Fallout experience in that it is an online game where you play against and even quest with other human players. In that sense, it’s more akin to a Rust than perhaps its predecessor, Fallout 4, as one of its key focuses is PVP.
Fallout 76 has years of free updates and DLC planned by Bethesda, making it an extremely exciting and interesting title for Expansive, and will allow you to play solo or take your progress with you into a match with friends.
We’ll have more on Fallout 76 in the weeks and months ahead.
