We’re coming up to a year of release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and it seems new information may be imminent.
Co-Director Motomu Toriyama has hinted that there will be a small section during this weekend’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestral concert where ‘a few things about Final Fantasy 7 Remake (will) be revealed’.
We know PS4 has platform exclusivity until April 10, and many are widely anticipating release on other formats such as PC and Xbox once that ends, but it seems that a PS5 announcement may be more likely.
FF7R Co-Director Toriyama’s message about the upcoming FF7R Orchestra Concert is VERY interesting. He mentions there will be a special small section of the concert where he will talk about some info about FF7R revealed only during the concert 👀

Not just that, but there have been suggestions new story content could be announced, though no word on what exactly that looks like.
The PS5 update is certainly a possibility, though, as several key games were identified as having PS5-related support and Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one of them. Another, God of War, just recently had a massive PS5 patch which gave the game higher resolution, improved frame rate and much more.
The pieces certainly add up and while Part 2 is presumably still a long way off from release, there still seems to be plenty to talk about in regards the original.
