A brand new Hyrule Warriors game is releasing this week and it follows directly on from Age of Calamity.
Linking more closely to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, directly connecting to events in the game, players will be able to explore the world set 100 years before Breath of the Wild.
And they’ll do so with the wide ensemble of characters from the Legend of Zelda universe.
You’ll be able to go onto the battlefield as Princess Zelda, Ardi, Mineru, and King Rauru, battling against Demon King Ganondorf and explore Hyrule in its original, intended glory.
Age of Imprisonment, as with previous Hyrule Warrior Musu games, offers full co-op throughout locally or online. You can also play splitscreen, on two different consoles and even use GameShare so you if you own a copy, you can stream it to another Switch console!
As with others, the game is Amiibo compatible and so any connecting The Legend of Zelda Amiibo can be used in the game for additional rewards like crafting materials and other items.
Plus, if you have save date from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you’ll unlock a High Guard’s Sword and High Guard’s Claymore when you play, redeeming them after completing The Howling Tempests mission.
Age of Imprisonment looks absolutely stunning and a really beautiful showcase of the world we glimpsed in Tears of the Kingdom and it launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6th.
