Hades 2 finally has its release date and it’s just a few short weeks away.
Confirmed during Nintendo Direct, the excellent sequel to the iconic roguelike, Hades, will finally leave early access and enter 1.0. It will also get its first appearence on consoles, coming to Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
This will be a timed console exclusive on the Nintendo platforms with no clear launch window for Xbox and PlayStation but as we all know, Hades just feels at home portably and this is going to shine on Nintendo’s new hardware.
As the beautiful animated trailer confirms, Hades 2 will be able to hit 120FPS in Docked Mode on Switch 2 and 60 FPS at 1080p. Meanwhile Switch 1 will be able to hit 60 FPS at 720p on TV and in Handheld. What’s more, if you do own Hades 2 on Switch 1, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version at no additional cost.
This 1.0 version will include all previous upgrades, including the Olympic Update as well as the more recent Unseen Update. 1.0 will now provide the game’s true ending.
PC owners who have the game in Early Access will, of course, automatically get the full and final version of Hades 2 on September 25 and there will be cross-save support across all platforms.
We cannot wait for Hades 2 when it releases on PC and Switch 1/2 on September 25.
