Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC in January 2025, no further Story DLC planned

Insomniac have given with one hand and taken with the other on their latest announcement with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The long awaited PC version of the game will finally arrive in January 2025 via Steam and Epic Games Store. It releases on January 30 and is available to wishlist from today.

There will be two different editions, including a Standard and Digital Deluxe, which are the same as the PS5 version of the game received with 14 suits, ultimate levels and more.

We don’t have the full breakdown on features and specs yet, but imagine this will be the definitive, best version of the game yet following post launch updates as well as smooth gameplay and world class visuals. We’ll report on this as we get it.

However, in the same PlayStation blog post it’s been confirmed that there will be no additional story DLC planned for the game. This is an interesting move following Marvel’s Spider-Man which had a whole Season Pass of content with The City That Never Sleeps.

Of course we know Insomniac are working on Marvel’s Wolverine and there has been some suggestion of doing spin-offs in the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man but nothing confirmed as of yet.

It’s not the end of DLC as we know it, though, as a Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack – a charity collaboration with Gameheads – will launch on PS5 later this month and will come to PC at launch at no additional cost.

With PS5 Pro soon releasing as well, we know there will be an updated content patch for the game to support the higher specs.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out now on PS5 and will launch on PC on January 30, 2025.
