Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection brings back the franchise best

A magnificent Kollection of Mortal Kombat games will drop later this month.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, brought to you by the brilliant Digital Eclipse, is giving the franchise a compilation of games from the early days, some of which haven’t been seen or re-released in years.

Similar to titles like Karetka, The Jeff Minter Collection, and Tetris, this will be an Interactive Documentary which deep dives into Mortal Kombat history, letting you play with the arcades that started it all, as well as beloved home versions.

Titles like Mortal Kombat 1-3 will, of course be there, but also Gameboy Ports, Mortal Kombat 4 and even less known spin-offs like Mortal Kombat Mythologies.

The documentary will include exclusive footage from Ed Boonm John Tobias, John Vogel and Dan Forden, including rare concept art, and archived video footage.

Online play has also been added to some of these games for the very first time with enhanced rollback netcode. What’s more, game quality has been enhanced to take advantage of modern formats and all secret characters, game settings and buried menus can be unlocked easily and as never before.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection looks absolutely incredible and will be launching on PC, PS, Xbox, and Switch on October 30.
