The first major expansion for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Beast of Winter – will release on August 2.

The DLC is the first of three expansions in the Season Pass and will launch alongside a massive v2 overhaul.

After a missive from the isle of worshippers to the god of entropy and disaster is received by the Beast of Winter, you must take your crew to the southernmost part of Deadfire Archipelago.

As The Watcher is believed to be the harbinger of the end of all things and so followers of Rymrgand have called on The Watcher to fulfil their destiny.

The Beast of Winter DLC will also release alongside a free DLC ‘Deck of Many Things’ pack, which includes a merchant ship.

There will also be bug fixes, balances and a new challenge mode for Deadfire.
