Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green announced for Switch

In a fantastic piece of news for Pokémon heads, Leaf Green and Fire Red have been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch.

Interestingly, they will be skipping Nintendo Switch Online and instead be releasing as standalone titles.

Celebrating the franchises’ 30th Anniversary, and ahead of an official Pokémon presentation next week, you’ll be able to revisit the original games all over again.

Remakes of the 2004 games – Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green – are coming to Switch for the first time with all 151 Pokémon. Revising Game Boy Advance features for the Switch, such as abilities, nature and held items, you can also link up with friends in local co-op to trade!

Each game is available for £16.99 on the eShop and will release on February 28th.
