PS3 and PC owners will become Dragonborn in 2013

Fus-Ro-Don’t make any jokes about Dragonshouts and just get on with the news? Right, ok, got it.

Well, the news is actually pretty good as far as PS3 and PC owners are concerned.

You’re probably sick of those Xbox adventurers constantly telling you they’ve seen the four corners of Skyrim and everything outside of it, right? How they’ve taken a million arrows to the knee and…oh, right, sorry,  news…

Well, Bethesda have finally confirmed that in early 2013, Dragonborn will make its way onto PS3 and PC. Posting on their official blog, it seems internal priorities have shifted and the team are working around the clock to bring the latest expansion to PS3 and PC

“We’re also happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year,” says the December 3rd entry.

What’s more, the blog entry goes on to say. ‘we’re still not done – we look forward to sharing more Skyrim news next year!”

Lovely stuff. Who’s up for closing more Oblivion gates?

A few days later, Bethesda published another entry on their blog, explaining their upcoming DLC plans for PS3 and PC platforms in more detail.

“For those that are playing the content already, we hope you’re having a blast in Solstheim. And as noted in Monday’s blog post, we’re hard at work to make this content available early next year on PS3 and PC. On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer. Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3. Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know.”

It’s definitely reassuring to hear that Bethesda are still intent on bringing Hearthfire and Dawnguard to PS3 owners. I bet those same Xbox owners are spewing mead down the front of their tunics right about now, eh?
