Resident Evil Requiem confirmed to receive Story DLC, Photo Mode and more

A surprise update from Capcom today has revealed there’s a bright future for their latest Resident Evil game.

Following its smash success, becoming the fastest selling Resident Evil game in history, with more than 5 million copies sold since launch, we now have a roadmap of content to come, rolling through May and beyond.

In a key note message today on social media, the game director Koshi Nakanishi, thanked fans for their support and then went on to say that Resident Evil Requiem would be receiving a story based expansion and it is now in development. We don’t have an ETA or idea of what it will contain but it follows previous trends with both RE7 and RE8 getting their own follow-up story expansions.

In the nearer future, though, the game will receive some free updates, with the first being a Photo Mode for the game, which follows the standard fare of other titles.

Capcom have also alluded to a ‘Mini-game’ with many speculating this could be a return of The Mercenaries, but no other information has been provided as yet.

The free updates are anticipated to release sometime this May.

Resident Evil Requiem is out now for PC, PS, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2.
