Star Wars Outlaws releases on Nintendo Switch 2 this week

Last years’ Star Wars smash from Ubisoft is getting something of a re-release this week.

Arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 as one of the biggest tests of the hardware so far, the Ubisoft action adventure focused on smugglers this Thursday and it will include all previous content for the game.

Available digitally or via a Game Key Card, Star Wars Outlaws follows Kay Vess, an aspiring smuggler with desires on climbing the ladder of success in the galaxy,  and this version of the game includes the season pass with the recently released Pirate’s Fortune and Wild Card.

In our review, we said Star Wars Outlaws was a really interesting and entertaining take on the franchise, offering something fresh and new and working to mostly great effect. But it also comes with the Snowdrop engine which means it really tested modern hardware. As such, this makes it a big test for Switch 2 alongside the likes of Cyberpunk and even Elden Ring.

Star Wars Outlaws launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4th.
