Xbox One’s chaotic third-person shooter em-up Sunset Overdrive got a bunch of new challenges and achievements today each worth 25 gamerscore points. The official PR blurb was surprisingly fun, so lets take a look at it here:

We just want to challenge players to have more fun while air-dashing over Sunset City and causing mayhem with the TNTeddy. And to help and reward you intrepid fun-seeking, gamerscore and achievement hunters, Insomniac Games has upped the ante announcing today that they have added three new Buck National themed challenges.

– Buck National vs The Apocalypse – Beat the score of 600,000 on the Challenge “Buck’s National vs The Apocalypse.”
– Buck Strikes Back – Beat the score of 564,500 on the Challenge “Buck’s Strikes Back.”
– Buck Stops Here – Beat the score of 703,700 on the Challenge “Buck’s Stops Here.”
In bonus new Sunset Overdrive is also 40% off for a limited time on the Xbox Game Store; sounds like a good time to jump into Sunset City and get blasting some hyped-up mutants.
