The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut comes to PS4 and Xbox One on August 27, new content and updates

Console owners won’t have to wait much longer for The Bard’s Tale IV as the Director’s Cut launches next month.

This will be a substantial improvement over the original game and is seen as something of a relaunch and 2.0 version.

Among other things, a whole new end-game chapter has been added which includes tons of new content, making it the equivalent of a DLC.

There are also lots of new enemies, items, and weapons, and a much more refined user interface.

The game’s oft-criticised combat has also been rebalanced, with new difficulty options also included and more class / character creation options.

PC owners who already have The Bard’s Tale IV will get the Director’s Cut update at no additional cost, and those who have Xbox Gamepass will be able to play the game on launch day.

To add to all that, if you get the Digital Deluxe Edition on PC, you’ll get a ton of in-game content and digital extras, including…

·        The Bard’s Tale Trilogy
